I was bombing down a hill around 30 40mph and I took a blind wide turn, an old lady with a dog (leashed up across the entire road) right after said turn, resulted in me having to turn off the road.
I launched off the edge and leaned back, my bike was suddenly upside down and I could hear a very loud scraping sound as my head followed the gravel for the entire length of the 18ft "cliff" until I reached the bottom; there, I tumbled through a rose bush to then slam the side of my body into the side of a tree, it was there where I heard my wrist fracture.
Screams were heard thereafter, and a fellow bike rider yelled to see if I was okay. I then proceeded to climb back up the cliff to await paramedics. The worst part was the nurse scrubbing the dirt out of my wounds, all in all not a bad trip.
